Taking A Chance

Weighing the risk against the chance...that's the problem. I recently took the chance and entered a painting to the Yadkin Valley Arts Show. I entered "Turning Point" a painting done from photos I took at Yadkin valley area Rag Apple Lassie Vineyard and Winery. I just kind of figured that they might be fond of grapes out there. However, the juror was not from the area so that had nothing to do with the fact that the piece was chosen for the show. She chose a pretty nice exhibit. I was impressed with the quality of the work. There were only a few I kind of wondered why they were there. That is always the case because as a viewer of the show you are not privy to the array of works that the juror looked at.

Try, try Again......I finally got accepted into a "real" watercolor show. Proud to say my "Tropical Splash" will be in the 2014 Watercolor Society of North Carolina Juried Exhibit in Wilson, NC in October.
